§ 57. Article limited. 1. This article shall not apply to any of the following cities: New York, Binghamton, Schenectady, Elmira, Hornell, Olean, Poughkeepsie and Cortland.

N.Y. Gen. City Law § 57 — Article limited is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.
§ 57. Article limited. 1. This article shall not apply to any of the following cities: New York, Binghamton, Schenectady, Elmira, Hornell, Olean, Poughkeepsie and Cortland.
2. This article, with the exception of section fifty-six-a thereof, shall not apply to the city of Glens Falls, the city of Middletown and the city of Beacon.
