Cal. Welf. & Inst. Code § 6750 — Medical Examiners is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.

The superior court judge of each county may grant certificates in accordance with the form prescribed by the State Department of State Hospitals, showing that the persons named therein are reputable physicians licensed in this state, and have been in active practice of their profession at least five years. When certified copies of such certificates have been filed with the department, it shall issue to such persons certificates or commissions, and the persons therein named shall be known as “medical examiners.” There shall at all times be at least two such medical examiners in each county. The certificate may be revoked by the department for incompetency or neglect, and shall not be again granted without the consent of the department.
