Cal. Sts. & High. Code § 5701 — The Engineer is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.
In its discretion, the legislative body may employ an engineer of work, other than the engineer or in place of the engineer, and all provisions of this division applicable to the engineer shall apply to such engineer of work.
