Cal. Prob. Code § 5307 — Ownership Between Parties and Their Creditors and Successors is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.
For the purposes of this chapter, except to the extent the terms of the account or deposit agreement expressly provide otherwise, if the parties to an account are married to each other and the account is expressly described in the account agreement as a “community property” account, the ownership of the account during lifetime and after the death of a spouse is governed by the law governing community property generally.
