This article shall apply to both of the following:

Cal. Ins. Code § 10509.919 — Suitability Requirements for Annuity Transactions before January 1, 2025 is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.
This article shall apply to both of the following:
(a) A recommendation of an annuity made before January 1, 2025, that results in the purchase, exchange, or replacement that was recommended.
(b) A sale of an annuity made before January 1, 2025, that is not based on a recommendation.
