The election shall be called by posting notices in three of the most public places in the district for not less than ten days; and if there is a newspaper printed and published in the district, by publishing a notice in at least two regular issues of the newspaper.

Cal. Health & Safety Code § 20102 — Taxation is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.
