Cal. Gov't Code § 8830 — Advisory Committees is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.
At its first meeting, the commission shall establish the radio committee, the T.V. committee, and the instructional committee. Each committee shall elect a chairman who shall convene the committee whenever the commission or one-third of the committee members so request or whenever the chairman deems a meeting appropriate. Committee members shall be compensated by the commission for their necessary and proper expenses in fulfilling their duties under this chapter.
