Cal. Gov't Code § 19063.8 — Appointments: Priority Consideration is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.
Any seasonal or entry level nontesting classifications specifically designed to support a program to train students, as determined by the department, to the extent that they are authorized as of the effective date of this article, shall be exempt from this article. However, state agencies shall be encouraged by the department to increase their efforts to recruit disadvantaged youth or students for these jobs.
