Cal. Gov't Code § 18973.1 — Veterans’ Preference is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.
Whenever any veteran, widow or widower of a veteran, or spouse of a 100 percent disabled veteran achieves a passing score on an entrance examination, he or she shall be ranked in the top rank of the resulting eligibility list.
