Cal. Gov't Code § 14687 — Buildings and Grounds is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.

To enable it better to perform its powers and duties relating to public buildings, the department may become a member and participate in the activities of any building management association. The department may pay any fee or charge incident to membership in such an association or for services furnished thereby out of any money available for expenditure by the department.

Such membership and participation does not render the department nor the state liable to the payment of any dues, fees or other considerations after withdrawal of the department from membership and participation and membership and participation is subject to the right of the department to withdraw at any time and terminate any obligations that membership or participation may entail.
