(a) Documentation required pursuant to this chapter, including signatures, may be collected electronically during an extended school closure due to a natural disaster, pandemic, or other emergency.

Cal. Educ. Code § 49200 — Permit to Work during Extended Emergency School Closure is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.
(a) Documentation required pursuant to this chapter, including signatures, may be collected electronically during an extended school closure due to a natural disaster, pandemic, or other emergency.
(b) A work permit shall not be denied based on a pupil’s grades, grade point average, or school attendance when the pupil’s school has been physically closed for an extended time due to a natural disaster, pandemic, or other emergency.
