Registered veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants shall not perform the following health care services:

Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 4840.2 — Registered Veterinary Technicians is in force in the current edition of the Code, and nothing recorded condemns it.
Registered veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants shall not perform the following health care services:
(a) Surgery.
(b) Diagnosis and prognosis of animal diseases.
(c) Prescribing of drugs, medicine, and appliances.
