Mr. Justice Brown, after stating the case, delivered the . opinion of the court. An interlocutory decree was entered in this case by consent, and the questions in issue arise upon exceptions to the report *289 of the special master, to whom the case was referred to take proofs, and to report the amount found by him to be due.
