MAJOR, Circuit Judge. This appeal is from a judgment awarding to plaintiff the right to possession of certain property, in an action based upon the forcible entry and detainer statute of the State of Illinois. The judgment was entered upon a jury verdict directed by the court at the close of the defendant’s evidence. The cause was instituted in the Municipal Court of the City of Chicago and removed on petition of the defendant to the District Court. We are first met with the question of the jurisdiction of the District Court.
